Monitor and analyze the activity of any WiFi network with the help of this unsophisticated yet efficient application for Mac OS X

If you are relying on public WiFi networks for internet access, being aware of which network has a stronger signal is extremely important.

WiFiRadar Pro is an easy to use OS X app that can detect all surrounding WiFi networks and provide essential information in each case.
Unobtrusive WiFi analysis tool that resides in the status bar
Upon launch, WiFiRadar Pro places a new menulet in your status bar and automatically starts scanning for available networks. WiFiRadar Pro will record the network's activity and generates a graph depicting the data transfer.

Noteworthy is that you can view details about each network in the status bar panel, or you can open the WiFi monitor window for more detailed data. WiFiRadar Pro scans the networks quite frequently, but unfortunately this makes the utility for a few seconds each time a scan completes.

View detailed information and monitor the performance of any WiFi network
In the WiFiRadar Pro WiFiMonitor window, via a minimalist drop down menu, you can easily select the type of information you want to see: AP Mode, BSSID, Capabilities, Channel, Channel Flags, Country, Last Seen, Locked, Noise, Rates, RSSI, Security, Signal, and SSID.

On the other hand, the status bar panel includes the IP, Subnet, Router, and MAC addresses, the IPv6 mode, and the channel signal. WiFiRadar Pro offers you the possibility to export the data to a CSV file, which is great if you are actually managing the networks and you need usage data.

Quickly identify strong WiFi networks that are near you
WiFiRadar Pro can help you decide which neighboring WiFi network has the best signal strength, but also provides more extensive details that can help you decide if a certain network is safe or not.

To conclude, regardless if you are simply looking for a fast internet access point, or you need usage data to optimize your network, WiFiRadar Pro is a great tool to have around.

Version 2.2:

  • Ability to recognize en0 and en1 interfaces
