A powerful Mac OS X backup solution that enables you to create full system image backups, locally or in the Acronis storage cloud.
Periodically backing up your data is extremely important since disks can fail, and documents can be deleted by mistake. Acronis True Image is a powerful yet user friendly backup solution that can store data locally, or upload the content to the Acronis cloud.
Easy to install and setup backup solution featuring support for various file systems
To be able to try the Acronis True Image functionalities, you must register for a trial license on the developer’s website, free of charge (an email address is required). When you launch the app, you need to provide this trial key to be able to reach the app’s main window.
However, finding your way around the application is extremely intuitive: simply specify the source and destination location for the backup, and the app takes care of the rest. Note that Acronis True Image is able to work only with certain file systems: Mac OS Extended format (case-insensitive), FAT32, exFAT, and NTFS (read-only).
Nonetheless, Acronis True Image cannot generate backup images for Macs that have Bootcamp installed, or use the Fusion Drive or File Vault 2 technologies. If a certain drive can be backed up or used as a storage location, the volume will appear automatically in the appropriate Acronis True Image windows.
Effortlessly backup your data locally or in the cloud
Acronis True Image offers you the possibility to set up as backup destinations your local drive, or storage locations connected to the network, but also provides support for automatically uploading the data to the Acronis cloud service.
To be able to upload data to the Acronis cloud, you must first sign up for a subscription plan that suits your needs, which must be renewed yearly: the fee is separate from the application’s price.
Acronis True Image allows you to define multiple backups, and you can easily manage them via an intuitive workflow. Noteworthy is that Acronis True Image also enables you to create different backup schedules for each entry (navigate to the Settings window).

The best part is that Acronis True Image offers you the possibility to browse the content of your backup and enables you to recover only the files you need. This way, you do not have to waste time recovering large system backup to gain access to certain documents.
Last but not least, Acronis True Image is capable to encrypt your backups, so you can be sure your documents remain safe at all times, regardless of the storage destination.
